Kyle Morabito
Chief Executive Officer
Kyle Morabito, Esq. uses his unique 15-year background in law, tax, and finance to lead the team at Inventive Partners as Chief Executive Officer.
Immediately prior to founding Inventive, Kyle was the Chief Legal Officer and Managing Director of Sagemont Tax, a tax consulting company that assisted its clients in substantiating over $1 billion in tax credits and incentives.
Kyle spent the first decade of his legal career as a corporate attorney at DLA Piper, McDermott Will & Emery, and Bilzin Sumberg, where he advised private equity funds, publicly traded companies, and institutional investors in connection with mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, financings, and general corporate law matters.
Kyle attended law school at New York University School of Law and taught ‘Law for Business Managers’ at the NYU Stern School of Business.
Prior to law school, Kyle worked at Merrill Lynch’s Investment Bank in Manhattan as a Wall Street Trader.
Kyle received his Master of Science in Finance in 2008 and Bachelor of Science in Finance in 2007 from the University of Florida.
Kenneth Dettman
Senior Advisor
Kenneth (“Kenny”) Dettman, CPA brings 15 years of complex tax advisory experience to the Inventive team. He is considered a pioneer and innovator in the tax industry, having both worked extensively as a client-focused tax advisor, as well as launching early-stage tax and compliance technology companies.
Kenny was previously a tax partner at a global top 25 consulting firm, Alvarez & Marsal (“A&M”), where he primarily focused on tax planning and compliance for privately held businesses. During this time, he also served as the Interim Co-Head of Global Tax for A&M in 2020, managing the internal tax function across 65 offices and 5,000+ professionals in 25 countries, all while leading A&M’s task force on the COVID-19 stimulus programs March 2020 through the end of 2021.
While at A&M, Kenny established himself as the leading tax expert and saw an opportunity to scale highly specialized, white-glove tax and compliance-related services to assist small- and medium-sized businesses through Sagemont Advisors.
Kenny holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and master’s degrees in Accounting and international business from the University of Florida. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Forbes Business Council. Kenny has authored articles published by media outlets such as the Business Journals, Forbes, Yahoo Finance, and Market Watch, and has been quoted in Tax Notes, Bloomberg, and the Wall Street Journal. He frequently lectures on tax topics for the Tax Executives Institute (TEI), Bloomberg BNA, and other industry and tax organizations.
Matt Sprowles
Partner
Matt Sprowles, a Partner at Inventive, is a seasoned professional with more than 15 years of experience in consulting, business development, commercial real estate, and fostering trusted client relationships.
Over the course of his career Matt has helped assist clients with over $45M in tax credits and has taken part in over $450M real estate transactions as a broker. Additionally, he is a limited partner in several multifamily properties.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Loyola Marymount University.
A Los Angeles native, Matt now resides in La Canada Flintridge, CA with his wife (who met as camp counselors in Yosemite) and two daughters, cherishing his annual family trip to Italy, and enthusiastically supporting his Chicago Cubs.
When he has the chance, Matt enjoys playing Sunday league baseball, reliving his glory days on the field.
Jesse Brown
Partner
Jesse Brown, a Partner at Inventive, has 15 years of experience in sales, marketing and operations. Prior to Inventive, Jesse played a pivotal role at Zillow Group, where he established and led the sales and operations department for their rentals business line at Zillow Group.
He subsequently was recruited by ElisaAI to help scale their AI startup from <$1m in Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) to over $20m in ARR. Most recently, Jesse spearheaded the growth of a tax credit and incentives practice achieving over $100m in revenue.
Jesse holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He resides in Palm Beach, Florida, with his wife.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Jesse is an avid golfer, tennis player, and competitive backgammon enthusiast, dedicating his leisure time to these passions.
Liz Brown
Client Services Professional
As Onboarding Specialist for Inventive, Liz Brown expertly guides clients through the onboarding process with a focus on professionalism, efficiency, attention to detail and friendliness.
With over 15 years of experience in coordinator and operational roles, Liz has worked in client services for a diverse array of industries including children’s book publishing, real estate, international retreats and tax advisory.
Blending organization and productivity with dedication and reliability, Liz is passionate about fostering good relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
